Welcome to Terrace Heights Childcare! We are a brand-new daycare located in Alberta. We are excited to foster to your child’s needs and build meaningful relationship with families. We embrace our city’s diverse cultural mosaic, giving children aged 8 months to 12 years a place to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
Learning through play is the mission statement of Terrace Heights Childcare. As early learning educators we understand that children are unique, learning at their own pace and in their own way.
We recognize there are many types of learners, who eagerly enjoy discovering and investigating the properties of objects. Their curiosity is innate, and they feel the need to touch, smell, poke, mix, see and hear, as they explore their environments. Our program recognizes the importance and value of play.
With provocations, we plan experiences and activities to peek the child’s interest, facilitate learning and most importantly participation. Children are provided with the time to explore observe and understand. They are thinking and building their cognitive development through seeing things, people, and places in new ways. This reflects the learning process.
